To coincide with the start of the MONACO Grand Prix 2019, we got in touch with Pininfarina – designers of renowned luxury sports cars. Here we discover how Pininfarina has created a bridge between customised luxury yachts and cars and their current position in the nautical sector.

THE ELECTRIC HYPERCAR 100% PININFARINA

Recently, Pininfarina’s vocation for innovation and performance has found its maximum expression in the Battista, the electric hypercar launched at the Geneva Motor Show by Automobili Pininfarina.

The luxury hypercar not only embodies the most intimate translation of Pininfarina’s design values, but also reveals its concerns for sustainability, leveraging on a solid heritage in the sustainable mobility business since 1978.

Battista represents the world’s first luxury electric hyper performance GT, its carbon-fiber bodywork hides extreme levels of technology and functional design. Power and torque equate to 1,900 hp and 2,300 Nm, providing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds, all with a potential zero-emissions range of up to 450 kilometers.

INNOVATIVE PININFARINA YACHT DESIGN

Gradually, the Pininfarina universe had been enriched with new worlds, translating the brand’s values and distinctive elements into territories hitherto unexplored. The approach to the new sectors was gradual, operating by functional proximity with the aim of preserving the semantic coherence of the design and brand story.

Since the Eighties, Pininfarina has been operating in the nautical sector, rediscovering the elements that made it a legend in the automotive industry, from performance to elegance, from fluid lines to luxury lifestyle.
