ONEOCEAN PORT VELL: THE WORLD’S BEST SUPERYACHT MARINA

OneOcean Port Vell is perfectly positioned in the cosmopolitan hotspot of Barcelona, with over 150 berths of up to 190m in length, and is a true superyacht marina in every sense.

As one of the only modern marinas capable of berthing the largest superyachts, it has everything you could need from a private and secure destination: superb restaurants, a spa and gym, and a tapas bar, not to mention a location in the heart of one of the world’s greatest cities.

Membership is limited, with owners and captains of yachts moored at the marina being given priority access.

OneOcean Port Vell is within easy cruising distance of all the hotspots that mainland Spain and the Balearics have to offer, and is positioned just 20 minutes’ drive from the airport, which includes a private jet terminal. There is also a helipad with tender access across from the marina.

YACHTZOO has a partnership with OneOcean Port Vell regarding berth rental, long-term leases and unique charter destination opportunities. Find out more here.

IBIZA

A trip to Ibiza doesn’t have to involve dancing the night away, unless you want it to! This stunning island is also home to incredible beaches, historic towns and uber-chic beach clubs.

Ibiza Town, the island’s capital, is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, and is encompassed by medieval stone walls and overlooked by a stunning other-worldly fortress. There is also a bustling waterfront packed with atmospheric seafood restaurants and one-off boutiques.

Next door to Ibiza’s old town is Es Cavallet, one of Ibiza’s most beautiful beaches, which is home to El Chiringuito, a hip beach club that attracts the elite of the Mediterranean.

Serving dishes such as suckling pig, langoustine risotto and king crab millefeuille, it’s no surprise the more sophisticated Ibiza clientele flock here for the summer.

Perched on the cliffs overlooking the Sol Den Serra bay, the Amante beach club hosts hatha yoga mornings and movie nights in its open-air cinema, as well as a stunning menu packed with local delicacies and cocktails.

FORMENTERA

Ibiza’s tranquil little sister is often compared to the Caribbean. With crystal clear waters, white sand beaches and a distinct lack of crowds, Formentera offers a welcome respite from the busier parts of the Mediterranean. Home to Playa Illetes, recently voted as the best beach in Europe and number seven in the world, there is a superb choice of spectacular beaches on the island from which to choose.

Explore the Artisan’s Market next to El Pilar de la Mola on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons during the summer. From unique jewellery to ceramics and sculptures, the market has something to offer those looking on the hunt for locally made items to take home.

Arguably the best restaurant on the island is Can Carlos. Find a secluded nook under the canopy of trees and dine on Iberico presa de pata negra, grilled octopus and Kobe tartare in this stylish but authentic Spanish eatery.

The headland of Es Cap de Barbaria is definitely worth visiting for a reviving hike. Designer of M/Y A, Philippe Starck, has a home here among the rustic wilderness and there is a stunning lighthouse to explore alongside the vineyards.
