The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Be on the edge of your seat at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Supercars and superyachts are so intrinsically linked that it seems natural that many of the world’s premier destinations for luxury yacht charters now boast their very own racing events, from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to that of Monaco.

Abu Dhabi’s position on the international yacht charter map was confirmed in 2009 with the completion of the magnificent Yas Marina, on Yas island. With excellent facilities such as first-class dining and shopping, the marina offers berths for 227 yachts including superyachts of up to 150 metres.

But perhaps the biggest pièce de résistance is the F1 racing track which weaves its way around the marina. The track – designed by the famous grand prix architect Hermann Tilke at an estimated cost of $1 billion –  is home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which has in less than a decade become one of the leading events on the hugely-popular F1 calendar.
