Originally launched in 1969 as an ice-class salvage tug, she was transformed by Australian billionaire Kerry Packer into the world’s first true luxury expedition yacht. Re-launching in 1994 as the largest converted explorer yacht of her time, ARCTIC set a new standard for adventure cruising, capable of reaching the planet’s most remote destinations while delivering five-star comfort along the way.
